I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business based in Southall. This is a genuinely hands-on Production Manager role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading people, driving standards and making sure production runs safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
The role involves taking responsibility for the day-to-day production operation, working closely with the CEO and wider management team to ensure the site is operating effectively and continues to develop. We’re looking for someone who is process-driven, commercially aware and confident leading a diverse operational workforce.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven Production Management experience within food manufacturing
- Ideally dairy manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of quality, compliance and UK legislation
- Experience with workforce planning, resource allocation and productivity
- Able to develop, implement and ensure adherence to SOPs and processes
- Comfortable working towards being audit-ready and supporting external inspections
- Strong understanding of production standards, food safety and compliance
- A genuinely hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the production team
- Calm, patient and approachable, with the ability to train, coach and develop people
- Someone who believes in recognising and motivating staff
- Strong business acumen and an understanding of the commercial impact of production decisions
- Able to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce
- Additional language skills such as Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati or another relevant language would be highly beneficial to support communication across the workforce
Location: Southall, West London – fully onsite
Salary: £60,000–£75,000, depending on experience
