Our client based in Birmingham is seeking an Estimator to join their team.
Experience with estimating essential. Experience estimating within a manufacturer to the construction industry preferred.
YOUR MISSION
As an Estimator, your mission is to continue the efficiency, quality and flow of the commercial function of the business, ensuring the smooth, efficient review and technical finalisation of commercially cleared enquiries assigned. You will be responsible for ensuring all quotes issued are to the highest standards and qualified suitably per project. As a key touch point in the customer journey pre-order, you set the standard for customer service, but also technical accuracy across the business. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high levels of production efficiency, technical accuracy and customer satisfaction.
JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for evaluating specifications and drawings ensuring that we are aware of all facts so that an accurate price.
To provide assigned quotes to the customer in an accurate and timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To be responsible for the preparation of quotes.
To communicate with customers and our clients personnel when required to ascertain correct up to date information on projects.
To ensure all quotations are returned to customers on time. Managing customers' expectations if further time is required to complete and issue quote.
Utilise feedback loops to optimise the criteria for qualification and decision-making
process.
Prompt and effective communication with customers in response to their queries.
As the key contact and impression for customers pre-order, always give a high level of customer service.
To gain a full knowledge of all of the clients products and their applications.
Contribute to creating a positive team culture with an inquisitive problem-solving attitude.
To undertake any other duty as dictated by the needs of the business.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in an estimating role.
Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and processes.
High level of administrative experience within a high-performing commercial team.
Experience with Google Workspace and MS Office Suite.
