Through our brands Parksafe, IROAD, ZONE AI, OnDemand and Parksafe Connect, we deliver innovative solutions designed to improve vehicle safety, prevent incidents and provide customers with greater visibility and control of their fleets.
Our solutions include vehicle cameras, AI-powered safety technology, video telematics, tracking, connected services and bespoke vehicle safety solutions across commercial vehicles, HGVs, plant, forklifts and specialist vehicles.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and driven National Business Development Manager to lead our growth within the transport, logistics and haulage sector.
The Role
The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across the UK transport, logistics and haulage market.
This is a true new-business development role, focused on winning new customers, developing strategic relationships and growing Parksafe Group's presence within the fleet sector.
You will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, identifying target fleets, opening new relationships and taking opportunities through the complete sales process from initial contact through to contract.
You will engage with fleet operators, transport companies, logistics businesses and haulage groups to understand their challenges around vehicle safety, driver behaviour, vulnerable road users, incident prevention, insurance, fleet visibility and operational efficiency, then position the appropriate Parksafe Group solution.
The role will involve a high level of prospecting, outbound activity, customer meetings, site visits, demonstrations, presentations and commercial negotiation.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director and will have clear revenue and gross profit targets, supported by a competitive basic salary and an attractive commission structure.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify and target new business opportunities across the UK transport, logistics and haulage sector.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
- Research target fleets, businesses and key decision-makers.
- Proactively prospect through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and industry events.
- Generate new sales opportunities through consistent outbound activity.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Arrange and lead customer meetings, site visits and demonstrations.
- Develop opportunities from initial contact through to commercial negotiation and close.
- Secure new fleet contracts and strategic customer relationships.
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

- National and regional transport companies.
- Third-party logistics providers.
- Contract logistics businesses.
- Large commercial vehicle fleets.
- Multi-site transport operations.
- Businesses operating mixed HGV and LCV fleets.
You will develop a clear understanding of the market, key players, fleet sizes, industry challenges and buying processes within the sector.
Consultative Selling
This role is about more than selling individual products.
You will work with customers to understand their operational and safety challenges and develop complete vehicle safety and connected technology solutions.
This may include:
- Vehicle camera systems.
- AI Birdseye / 360Β° camera solutions.
- ZONE AI pedestrian and vulnerable road user detection.
- OnDemand video telematics.
- Driver behaviour and fleet data.
- Vehicle tracking and connected services.
- Incident and event video.
- Driver safety solutions.
- Bespoke fleet safety systems.
- Combined hardware and software solutions.
You will be expected to understand the customer's requirements and build a compelling commercial case around safety, risk reduction, incident prevention, fleet visibility and return on investment.
Customer Meetings & Presentations
You will regularly meet with customers at their premises and other locations across the UK.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading initial discovery meetings.
- Presenting Parksafe Group solutions to decision-makers.
- Understanding customer fleet structures and operational challenges.
- Presenting technical and commercial proposals.
- Managing negotiations.
- Coordinating technical support where required.
- Working alongside the Technical Project Manager on complex opportunities.
- Building relationships at operational, procurement and senior management level.
You should be confident presenting to individuals ranging from Fleet Managers and Transport Managers through to Operations Directors, Procurement, Health & Safety teams and Managing Directors.
Account Development
Although the primary focus is new business, you will remain commercially involved with customers you have won.
This will include:
- Developing relationships after the initial sale.
- Identifying opportunities to expand deployments.
- Upselling additional products and services.
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the Parksafe Group portfolio.
- Supporting contract renewals and expansion opportunities.
- Working with the wider commercial team to maximise customer lifetime value.
Strategic Opportunities
The successful candidate will be expected to identify and develop larger strategic opportunities.
This could include:
- National fleet contracts.
- Group purchasing agreements.
- Fleet-wide technology rollouts.
- Strategic partnerships with transport and logistics businesses.
- Opportunities involving multiple Parksafe Group technologies.
You will work closely with the Commercial Director, Technical Project Manager and wider team to develop and close these opportunities.

This will include:
- Monitoring trends within the transport and logistics industry.
- Understanding changes in fleet safety requirements.
- Identifying emerging customer challenges.
- Monitoring competitor activity.
- Identifying new market opportunities.
- Attending relevant industry events and exhibitions.
- Developing relationships with industry associations and key influencers.
- Feeding customer and market insight back into the wider business.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who is hungry for new business and enjoys winning.
You should be comfortable working autonomously, building your own pipeline and creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries.
You will be expected to spend a significant amount of time prospecting, making calls, booking meetings and getting in front of customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling into the transport, logistics, haulage or fleet sector, although candidates with strong B2B business development experience in a closely related industry will also be considered.
Most importantly, you will be:
- Competitive.
- Commercially minded.
- Resilient.
- Target-focused.
- Proactive.
- Confident.
- Comfortable with senior decision-makers.
- Hungry for new business.
- Comfortable picking up the phone.
- Motivated by earning potential.
- Able to manage a long and complex sales cycle.
If you're a proven new-business salesperson who knows how to open doors, build relationships and close deals, we'd like to hear from you.
