At Glendale, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Contract Manager based on our site at Harwell Innovation Campus, Oxfordshire to support the Operations Manager with the management and delivery of a prestigious grounds maintenance contract. This includes management of staff & budgets and planning the tasks & resources to ensure the provision of a high-quality, efficient and safe service.
This position is for a proven manager who wants to develop themselves and progress within this area of the UK, with Glendale having in place a strategic plan to grow the business regionally. - A self-motivated and experienced Contract Manager with perseverance and an entrepreneurial appetite.
- An in-depth understanding of landscape and horticultural management.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing Grounds Maintenance teams, being able to drive productivity and ensuring that the workforce provides a quality service.

- Based in Oxfordshire, this is a dynamic and hands-on role involving taking the lead on the delivery of our services, monitoring the progress of the teams on-site and taking quick and effective action to maintain both high productivity and client satisfaction across a wide range of static and mobile commercial sites.
- Manage and motivate your teams to deliver the highest possible levels of service.
- Responsible for the Contract accounts and production of weekly and monthly reports.
- Recruitment of permanent staff.
- Daily liaison with Client Officers.
- Overseeing system compliance and quality checks.
- Organising teams and rotas to produce effective works schedules and ensure delivery.
- Taking a leading role in health and safety.
- Budget planning, preparation and management.
You will not be working in isolation; you will be liaising and collaborating with regional and national operations managers and colleagues about activities across your contract.
