As a Day Care Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting residents to live safely, comfortably and with dignity. This is a hands‑on, meaningful role where your contribution is genuinely valued.
Responsibilities
- Deliver person‑centred care in line with individual care plans and residents' personal preferences.
- Support all aspects of personal care, including washing, dressing, oral care, continence support and grooming.
- Assist with mobility, using appropriate equipment (hoists, stand aids, wheelchairs) and following safe moving & handling practices.
- Help residents with daily living activities, such as meals, hydration, social engagement and maintaining routines.
- Promote independence, encouraging residents to do as much as they safely can and supporting confidence‑building.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues to create a warm, supportive environment.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing, including observing changes in physical or emotional health and reporting promptly to nurses or senior staff.
- Maintain accurate, detailed care records, including electronic documentation and daily notes.
- Support meaningful activities, both one‑to‑one and group‑based, to enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe home environment.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care, clinical and housekeeping teams to ensure excellent overall care.
- Ensure dignity, compassion and respect in every interaction.

Salary & Hours
£13.58 per hour
Hours: 44 hours per week (4 shifts), 33 hours (3 shifts per week) or 22 hours (2 shifts per week), including alternate weekend working available.
Shifts: 8am‑8pm.
