We are looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator who is dedicated to making every moment count, regardless of their qualifications or experience. As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you will need to be willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment as well as have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of our team.
The Role
- To promote the general health and mental wellbeing of residents, maintaining their quality of life, enabling the residents to feel part of the everyday activities which are going on around them.
- This is maintained by offering regular and appropriate physical exercise, mental stimulation, and support regarding social, cultural and religious beliefs or faith.
- To provide and assist residents to access and participate in a range of recreational activities, either in groups or individually.
- To ensure that the residents can socialise and can continue to have a happy and content life whilst living in a Parklands Care Home.
- To communicate effectively with residents, other staff, residents’ families, visitors, and health care professionals, fostering a happy working environment for residents.
- To observe, monitor and record the condition of residents whilst delivering activities and care, including maintaining personal life stories and the appropriate sections in the care plan regarding residents’ activities and lifestyle choices.
- To help residents to keep mobile and to contribute to moving and handling using the correct techniques as well as following policies and procedures regarding falls management.
- To support the health and safety of residents, self, other staff and visitors.
- To ensure that all interactions with residents are beneficial to their health and wellbeing; this applies to group and individual activities and as well as in regard to taking residents to health centres and hospital appointments etc as well as helping with eating and drinking, together with making mealtimes enjoyable.
- To support the Manager in the implementation of Managing Falls and Fractures within a care home setting.
- To support the Manager in the implementation of The Care Physical Activity Agenda and any other relevant documentation that benefits care delivery to our residents.
- Attend mandatory training in Moving and Handling, Health and Safety, Elementary Food Hygiene, Infection Control and First Aid, as appropriate to the job.
- Maintain confidentiality about the residents, their families, other staff and Company matters.
