As a Laundry Assistant, you will need to be adaptable and work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with the team are essential to ensuring clean, well-maintained clothing and linens for residents, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic living environment.
The Role:
- Ensuring that all laundry is cleaned, pressed, and returned to residents in a timely manner.
- This role is vital in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our residents.
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry such as residents' clothing and linens.
- Inspect items for cleanliness, maintain laundry equipment, and follow infection control procedures.
- Accurate record-keeping, responding to residents' requests, and adhering to safety protocols are essential.
- Work closely with staff to ensure efficient service, and duties may vary over time.
Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping is preferred, along with attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks and operate machinery safely.
