As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the care home in line with agreed cleaning schedules and infection control standards. Duties include:
- Cleaning communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and specialist rooms
- Vacuuming and shampooing carpets
- Polishing furniture
- Cleaning windows
- Sanitising surfaces
- Preparing rooms before new residents arrive
- Emptying bins
- Managing cleaning supplies
- Reporting faulty equipment
- Supporting deep cleaning tasks when required
Adherence to health and safety and infection control policies is essential, along with completing records and attending mandatory training and staff meetings.
The role is based at Parklands’ Speyside Care Home in Aberlour, a picturesque village overlooking the River Spey.
Parklands is looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable and takes pride in their work. Previous experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided. You should have good communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced care environment where attention to detail matters. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Pay is £12.21 per hour for a 19 hour per week contract, worked on a rotational day shift basis which may include weekends as required. Benefits include:
