This is a rare and exciting opportunity to influence a nationally significant programme that brings together health, research, education, innovation, sport and economic development to improve lives and create sustainable growth. As the only Olympic Legacy Park established outside an Olympic host city, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park has already attracted more than Β£175 million of investment and become home to world-leading organisations spanning healthcare, research, education, elite sport and community wellbeing. As the Park enters its next phase of development, it will play a leading role in South Yorkshire's ambition to establish the UK's first Prevention Economy Innovation District creating an ecosystem that brings together research, healthcare, education, innovation and enterprise to improve population health while driving inclusive economic growth. As a Non-Executive Director, you'll join a Board at the heart of an ambitious innovation destination that connects pioneering research, innovation, enterprise and health impact at scale. Working alongside the Executive Chair and fellow Board members, you will help steer long-term sustainable growth, strengthen governance, champion meaningful partnerships, influence strategic decisions and ensure the Park continues to deliver impact. You'll work alongside senior leaders from key stakeholders including Sheffield City Council, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and local and regional NHS Trusts, Higher Education providers, innovation ecosystems partners and industry.
