South Yorkshire is taking off again, and we’re looking for an aviation expert ready to help steer its journey. Parkinson Lee Executive Search are proud to be the retained partners to SYCMCA and Fly Doncaster in the recruitment of this role.
As Aviation Non-Executive Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting SYMCA’s oversight and investment into the South Yorkshire Airport City project, including the mobilisation and re-opening of Fly Doncaster. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the rebirth of a major UK aviation hub and bring a transformational regional project to life.
You’ll sit on the Fly Doncaster Board, providing expert insight, financial and operational oversight, and strategic challenge, ensuring the airport’s ramp-up is on budget, compliant, and commercially sound. Acting as a key link between SYMCA and Fly Doncaster, you’ll bring the confidence and credibility to engage with senior leaders, regulators, government departments, and industry partners.
What we need...
- Executive-level experience in the UK airport sector.
- Deep knowledge of airport operations, development and project management.
- Experience in financial appraisal, business planning, and investment oversight.
- Proven ability to engage across government, regulators (CAA, DfT, NATS, Border Force), and commercial partners.
