Parkinson Lee are the retained partners to a fast growing, entrepreneurial, family-owned manufacturing and retail organisation in the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. This £60M turnover business has a strong UK heritage and reputation for high quality, bespoke products and with over 50 years of training history, they are a UK’s market leader in their field. They are a highly people focussed and customer centric business, and in recent years have become vertically integrated. With the aim of delivering a consistent and reliable customer experience, they go above and beyond to exceed expectations. Having experienced exponential growth over the past five years, the business wants to maximise its scale potential and now have a 5 year strategic plan which is focused on creating new brands, partnerships and routes to market, aiming to double turnover by 2030. Reporting into the MD, the CFO will lead and develop a large Finance and IT function whilst continuing to work closely with the Board to execute their strategic vision to ensure all opportunities are maximised in a financially efficient manner with the key focus on EBITDA growth. Parkinson Lee are looking for experienced Finance leaders with the following attributes: An experienced CFO / Finance Director who has been in a number one finance role within a family-owned organisation (is desirable) A solid understanding of consumer focussed manufacturing (FMCG, Retail, Wholesale would also be advantageous) A proven leader with the ability to mentor, coach and develop staff to increase the depth of talent across finance and IT A background in improving operational process and financial performance to drive profit and EBITDA A solid working knowledge of contract management and contract negotiations Previous experience of working in a retail/manufacturing environment managing credit and fund facilities Excellent communication skills across all dimensions of the business (shop floor to the boardroom) with an open-door policy An individual who continuously builds relationships with key stakeholders within the business and externally with banks, auditors, etc. Continuous promotion of the on-going development of the company’s culture and values to ensure a high level of employee engagement and wellbeing Confident, outgoing personality with a passion for leading teams This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Finance Leader who is looking to continue their career within a dynamic, market leading business where they will work closely with the Board and SLT to help drive growth, engagement and performance.
