Our Client is an established building services engineering consultancy located in Leeds, facilitating innovative schemes throughout each market sector. They have been operating for over 20 years, delivering MEP projects throughout the UK and in more recent times across parts of Europe. Our Client is the largest independent M&E Contractor in the Yorkshire region, employing circa 180 staff with a turnover in excess of £60m.

Our Client brings over 30 years’ experience in HVAC & Energy Services design and supply. They have provided services to some of the largest oil & gas and offshore wind farm projects, requiring the team to work closely with customers to develop the initial design detail, co-ordination and interface requirements.

Based out of Middlesbrough, the team is experienced in developing projects that include all the latest technologies, systems and equipment, and can provide a complete turnkey service to ensure all projects meet the highest level of quality, performance and safety required by the industry.

With the exciting news of yet further project wins across the oil, gas and marine sectors, requiring specialist HVAC services for modular buildings and the shipping industry, two new positions have been created to assist with the delivery of these key schemes.

The HVAC Design Manager will be responsible for reviewing all design specifications and ensuring suitability and fitness for purpose. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate operations and encourage smooth delivery, this important client-focused position will ensure all aspects of mechanical engineering and energy efficiency have been taken into account.

The successful candidate will be an experienced design professional with a proven history of delivering projects to time and cost, demonstrating high levels of commercial awareness and leadership. The Senior HVAC Design Engineer will be tasked with leading individual design schemes, providing accurate calculations and working under the direct stewardship of the Design Manager. It is expected that the appointed Engineer would be technically strong, up to date with all regulations, conversant with industry design software and fully understanding all aspects of detailed HVAC design. Both roles will include some travel, with occasional visits to live projects across Canada, Denmark, and Spain likely.
