A leading national building services contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator to play a key role within its established pre-construction team.

With a strong reputation for delivering prestigious commercial and industrial developments nationwide, the business continues to secure high-value projects and requires an experienced estimator capable of producing accurate, competitive tenders across a diverse portfolio of work.

Working closely with Directors, Operations and Commercial teams, you’ll become a key part of the bid process, helping to secure projects ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to major multi-million-pound developments.

The Role

Responsibilities will include

  • Preparing detailed electrical tenders from first principles.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements.
  • Producing accurate take-offs and cost plans.
  • Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities.
  • Attending internal bid meetings and client presentations where required.
  • Liaising closely with Design, Commercial and Operational teams.
  • Supporting negotiations following tender submission.
  • Maintaining awareness of current market rates and industry trends.

About You

We’re looking for someone with

  • Significant experience estimating electrical building services projects.
  • Previous employment with an M&E contractor or building services specialist.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical installations.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Experience pricing projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or residential sectors.
  • The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment.
