Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent MEP Consulting Engineers, with 3 strategically placed offices across the north of England. Specialising in mechanical, electrical, public health and vertical transportation, they offer technical advice to construction and property professionals across all sectors of the built environment. The Leeds office boasts a strong team that promotes a friendly collaborative environment, working on a broad range of schemes that are often fast moving and technically challenging. With a strong order book in place and repeat business a cornerstone of their customer development strategy, the future looks both bright and highly secure, whilst offering ideal foundations to grow. The appointment of a Principal Electrical Engineer is key to advancing delivery capabilities, shaping early concepts to deliver intelligent practical designs to bring projects to life. Responsibilities will include: * Leading the day-to-day delivery of electrical design work across a variety of building projects * Developing early-stage design strategies that hit the brief and meet industry regulations * Working closely with clients, architects, and design teams – both in meetings and through everyday communication * Supporting Directors with resourcing, fee management and delivery * Mentoring and developing up-and-coming engineers including Apprentices and Graduates. To be considered for this position interested parties must have extensive experience as a Building Services Electrical Design Engineer, with a successful track record of delivering projects to time and cost. Highly familiar with industry software such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech and Electrical OM, working in a proactive way whilst demonstrating an open minded approach to internal and external teamwork. Finally, the company owners in recent years made a significant decision to enter the business into an EOT (employee owned trust). This bold move reinforced their beliefs that their people were their greatest asset, with the EOT now offering over 60 staff members ownership which converts to additional financial rewards and clear progression routes to facilitate long term careers
