Our client is an independent MEP Consulting Engineering practice looking to build upon an excellent start to business life and comfortably enjoying their 4th year of trading. Our Client is the largest independent M&E Contractor in the Yorkshire region. Our Client is a Building Services, Utilities, BREEAM, and Sustainability Consultancy supporting construction professionals to deliver effective sustainable engineering solutions.

For over 30 years, our client has been providing high-quality sustainable mechanical and electrical design solutions, supported by cost-effective innovative engineering packages for the UK construction industry. With the challenges associated with setting up a new business successfully navigated and the focus firmly on the future, the business has enjoyed year-on-year growth and looks set to achieve their best results yet as they plan ahead for what 2025 has in store. Regular repeat custom and a solid forward order book offer the company a great platform to grow organically, with recruitment a key part of the next stage of evolution.

With the office already housing 10 M&E Design professionals, many of whom have worked as part of the team in previous organisations, the environment is both high performing and friendly, which offers an attractive collaborative atmosphere. The appointment of a BIM specialist will mark a significant shift in how projects are delivered. Currently, BIM Modelling is driven by a small group of Revit-trained Design Engineers; however, the project base has grown to a level where a full-time BIM Coordinator is now required to dedicate his/her time to developing the models and working closely with the M&E Design Team.

Not only will this help standardise and improve current processes, but it will also importantly give precious time back to the Engineers to invest into their schemes, ensuring customers continue to experience the very best service. Applications are invited from trained MEP Revit Technicians/Coordinators who are confident users of Revit software and seasoned in working alongside M&E Design Engineers. Working to deadlines and prioritising a growing workload will be under your daily management, ensuring high-quality models are produced and all associated IT admin duties are fulfilled too.

Longer term, the appointed candidate can look forward to working towards a BIM Manager's role and building a small team to further support live projects.
