Parkinson Gray Associates are working with a well-established building services contractor who require an experienced Mechanical Site Manager / Site-Based Mechanical Project Manager for a major new-build public sector infrastructure project. This is a site-based role on a large, technically demanding scheme. The client is open to either a permanent appointment or a freelance/interim arrangement.
You will be responsible for managing mechanical services activity on site, coordinating subcontractors and labour, reviewing drawings and technical information, monitoring progress, and ensuring works are delivered safely, correctly, and to programme.
We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical building services background and proven experience managing mechanical installation works on sizeable construction projects. Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, custodial, defence, or wider public sector/infrastructure projects would be useful.
You should have a good working knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, public health, and associated systems. You must be comfortable dealing with subcontractors, site teams, project managers, and client representatives.
Applicants may currently be working as a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Site-Based Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, or M&E Site Manager with a strong mechanical bias. SMSTS or SSSTS and relevant CSCS/site certification would be advantageous.
