Our client is a well–established building services design consultancy, expanding its Mechanical Engineering team in Warrington and looking for experienced designers ranging from intermediate to senior or principal levels. This team is passionate about delivering comfortable, efficient and sustainable mechanical systems that underpin high–quality built environments.
The Opportunity
You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of mechanical building services design, working closely with electrical, public health and BIM teams to deliver coordinated, efficient solutions. Typical responsibilities include:
- Mechanical design of HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems
- Producing calculations, reports, specifications and technical drawings
- Developing energy–efficient, practical designs aligned with project objectives
- Coordinating designs across disciplines using BIM–led workflows
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers (for senior/principal level)
- Contributing to design reviews and client discussions

- Proven experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy or design led environment
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations, standards and best practice
- Confidence in managing your own design workload and contributing to team delivery
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with Revit/BIM environments is highly desirable
