Our Client is the largest independent M&E Contractor in the Yorkshire region, with a turnover in excess of £75m, employing circa 200 staff across 5 Group companies.
For over 20 years, our client has been providing first-class MEP design and installation solutions to the building services industry. They are a national Building Services Consultancy employing circa 150 staff across 8 strategically placed UK offices. With energy and sustainable building design at the heart of the company, they have built an enviable reputation as one of the largest independently owned MEP design consultancies in the UK.
Current and future projects include health care, leisure, education, mission critical, residential, retail and technology, providing a diverse range of schemes for all Engineers to develop their careers and professional experience further. The company is uniquely positioned for further success and sustained growth, with plans for further regional operations, particularly in Leeds, which will be the company's 9th regional base.
The Leeds office will provide more locally based technical support to customers both new and existing. As a national organisation with a national profile, the brand is already familiar with architects and developers, offering a warmer soft start, building on the progress already made.
Acting as an ambassador and regional lead, the appointed Director will be responsible for growing the operation, developing clients across the public and private sector, attending industry events, and promoting the brand at all opportunities. Additional duties will include recruitment and the development of a team of Engineers, utilising contacts to attract key hires and build a strong division capable of delivering complex schemes.
This position requires an Engineer of impeccable reputation, well networked regionally and respected by peers across the construction industry. All interested parties are expected to be highly qualified (CEng preferable) and technically superior, seasoned in providing executive levels of advice and collaboration across a wide range of sectors.
A robust understanding of business and industry margins, along with high levels of commercial acumen, is essential to ensure profitable work is won and delivered to time, cost, and expectation.
