- Role Description
Duties include
- Responsibility for undertaking and supporting others on a range of detailed analyses, including, but not limited to: Energy compliance
- Overheating compliance
- Daylight calculations
- Detailed energy modelling
- Decarbonisation studies
- Post occupancy evaluations.
- Liaise with Building Performance Lead to update on resourcing, deliverables, bottlenecks.
- Guide project teams through local planning requirements.
- Deliver kick-off meetings internally to coordinate sustainability design with MEP engineers.
- Provide early-stage consultation to design teams and clients to optimise passive and low-carbon design.
- Support design team and contractor to ensure delivery of contracted employer’s requirements.
- Autonomous delivery of compliance related modelling, including technical accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Support the development of workflow processes of the Building Performance team.
- Take responsibility for design co-ordination between the engineering team, their designs and the Building Performance work.
- Work alongside the engineering teams to help develop de-carbonisation studies.
- Assist the business in delivering post occupancy evaluations.
- Produce detailed and coordinated sustainability reports for each assessment which clearly and concisely show the methodology used, targets and summary of results.
- Support, train and quality check other team members’ work.
- Liaise with contractors and their supply chain to improve their specifications
- Preferred Competencies
- Experience delivering industry wide environmental assessment methods. This shall include SAP, SBEM , Planning
- Proficient use of IESve
- Exposure to sectors including Offices , Df E , Leisure Centres , High-Rise Residential
- Delivery of projects across RIBA Stage 0 – 7.
- Member of an accredited organisation in the Built Environment.
