Our Client is a well-established low carbon, energy and building services consultancy, based in West Yorkshire. The business delivers a full range of building analysis and energy auditing services designed to identify efficiencies and mitigate risks, enabling customers to reduce CO2 emissions and maximise financial savings.

With work pouring in and a solid order book confirmed to facilitate modest growth again this year, a talented and ambitious Graduate/Trainee Sustainability Consultant position has been created to support the team. Working from the Huddersfield office, the appointed candidate can look forward to one-on-one training with industry experts and chartered Engineers, along with attending external training courses as and when required.

The ideal applicant will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, be diligent, conscientious and highly proficient in both Maths and English. Most importantly, you will be willing to learn and work hard to progress, asking intelligent questions along the way and taking onboard direct instruction.

This will be a trainee role which will see the appointed candidate working alongside Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers, Energy Modellers and BREEAM Assessors to learn the ropes and support live projects as the company continues to grow. You will be learning how to assess buildings against complex and evolving systems and criteria using a variety of software platforms. This will likely involve:

  • BREEAM 2018 New Construction
  • Lifecycle Carbon Assessment
  • Dynamic Energy modelling using Designbuilder software
