Parkinson Gray Associates is working with an established building services engineering consultancy seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its Manchester team. The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a range of projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical design calculations, reports and technical specifications
  • Designing lighting, power and associated building systems
  • Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and other consultants
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
  • Attending client, design and coordination meetings
  • Carrying out site visits, surveys and inspections
  • Contributing to technical problem solving and design development
  • Supporting junior team members as your experience develops

About You

You will ideally have:

  • 3+ years' experience within a UK building services consultancy
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar
  • Experience using Revit and electrical design software
  • A sound understanding of electrical systems within buildings
  • Knowledge of current regulations and industry standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
