Our Client is one of the leading independently owned MEP and Sustainability Consulting Engineers in the UK. For over 20 years they have delivered major detailed design schemes and sustainability studies for a wide range of projects, engaging with contractors, developers and architects to bring buildings to life and ensure costs effective energy efficient solutions are implemented. The sustainability team is keen to recruit an experienced BREEAM Assessor to join either the Leeds or Nottingham office. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering BREEAM assessments across a variety of projects, working with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental performance standards. You’ll play a key role in driving sustainability goals from early-stage design through to project completion. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage BREEAM assessments (New Construction, Refurbishment, In-Use, etc.) from pre-assessment through to certification. * Provide expert sustainability advice to clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. * Coordinate with design teams to ensure evidence is collected and recorded in line with BREEAM requirements. * Conduct site visits, audits, and evaluations as needed. * Prepare and submit evidence and documentation to BRE Global for final certification. * Stay up to date with the latest BREEAM guidance and environmental regulations. * Provide internal training and support on BREEAM and related sustainability frameworks. * Assist in the preparation of sustainability strategies and reports for planning and compliance purposes. * Contribute to other sustainability services as required (e.g., WELL, LEED, energy modelling). Applications are invited from licensed and registered BREEAM Assessors, or those who have gained considerable experience working alongside a licenced professional, looking to find their own platform to showcase their talents develop and gain their own personal accreditations. A strong understanding of environmental design, building performance and sustainability principles is absolutely essential, as are the softer interpersonal skills to provide a friendly and flexible client facing service that promotes understanding, inspires confidence and encourages clear communication. Additional desirable skills and knowledge include familiarity with other sustainability frameworks (e.g. WELL, LEED, HQM, SKA), up to date building regulations, planning policies, carbon footprinting and lifecycle assessment (LCA)
