Parkingeye is an advanced provider of a wide range of parking solutions to support businesses whilst working ethically with our motorists. We offer smart, flexible and integrated car park management solutions to help increase parking revenue, reduce car park abuse and improve customer satisfaction. We operate more car parks in the UK than anyone else for our clients, ensuring they get maximum benefit from the parking space. We’ve been doing this in the UK for over 15 years and with over 300 staff. Now we are on a mission to expand into new markets, opening up operations across Europe including Germany, Denmark and Austria. We are also innovating with tech such as the use of number plate recognition for efficient click and collect operations, and developing our own electric vehicle charging network, creating a new customer facing brand Evology. It’s a real time of innovation and expansion. Strong IT is key to delivering on all of our ambitions, we are now investing in the team and updating our systems, technologies and practices to help achieve them.

Who you’ll be working with:

  • A passionate growing IT and software team of over 20, working in squads
  • A great mix of long standing and new team members along with nearshore teams

What you’ll be working on:

  • Building the future of our Azure cloud first .Net applications
  • Driving our collaborative DevOps culture and practices
  • Working in your squad and influencing across our stack, to create industry leading innovative solutions
  • Being part of a team that wants to push boundaries and drive us to be the best we can be

Tech experience that will help you succeed in the role:

  • Deep understanding of .net 4.8 upwards including .net core
  • Care about quality, performance/load testing, integration testing etc.
  • Experience building and supporting public cloud applications (Azure cloud experience)
  • Good knowledge of cloud first tech, such as serverless compute e.g. Azure Functions, service bus, AKS etc.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server (database modelling, stored procedure development and optimisation, indexing improvements)
  • A real advocate for DevOps practices
  • Understanding of latest JS
  • Knowledge of best practice in developing a secure architecture
  • Having solution architecture design experience is an advantage
