Overview
Do you have operational experience within the security and parking sector? Do you have an SIA license? Are you good at dealing with sensitive situations? If you answered yes to these questions, then read on. We are currently looking for an experienced Security Operations Manager for a busy site in the Isle of Wight. Your role will be in support of the contract lead with managing a team of Supervisors with Security Officers providing a 24-hour service. You will lead and motivate the team and develop them, managing resources to deliver an effective and efficient business function. This will achieve the budgeted financial results and deliver a performance that reliably exceeds the service levels and KPI standards agreed with the client.
Responsibilities
- You will assist the Contract Manager to ensure the smooth provision of the contract.
- You will be in support of managing and planning of resources, including ensuring effective deployment of staff throughout the contract.
- You will provide continuous monitoring of security and parking activity. This will involve regular reporting on Key Performance Indicators to the contract Manager, detecting trends and prompting remedial action where crucial.
- You will assist in resolving all operational problems within the scope of the contract.
- You will help prepare responses within confirmed time frames, to all service complaints and contractual issues raised.
- You will assist with the monitoring of the budget and contract spend in relation to deployment, uniform, stationery and other supplies ensuring effective cost control.
- You will develop, coach, and monitor the team in relation to cost control, supervisory skills, Health & Safety and environmental issues.
Essential Requirements
- SIA license essential
- Full UK driving license
- Recent experience as a security supervisor/team leader or equivalent level
- Experience of operating within a customer facing environment within the security industry
- Experience and implementing effective cost controls, understanding of budgets and monitoring KPIs
- Assist with the preparation of reports
- Strong people management skills gained within a diverse workforce, including coaching, training and recruiting skills
