We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Client Manager to lead growth across our National Security portfolio. This is a senior role focused on driving revenue, shaping new products and services, and building trusted relationships with high-profile government clients operating at the cutting edge of technology. You will play a critical role in influencing strategy, leading business winning activity, and ensuring customer priorities shape our innovation roadmap.

The Role

  • Own and execute the National Security business development strategy
  • Lead growth across defined client portfolios and “Fields of Play”
  • Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships within National Security and Public Sector organisations
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating emerging technology into client value
  • Shape the development of new IP, products and service offerings
  • Champion the “voice of the customer” to ensure strategy aligns with client priorities
  • Provide visible leadership across Sales, Solution Architects, Bid Teams and Campaign Managers
  • Drive a high-performance, accountable business winning culture

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Business Winning
    • Lead end-to-end business development activity from opportunity identification through to contract award
    • Sponsor and direct bids, setting strategy, governance and resource alignment
    • Manage bid budgets and ensure disciplined commercial oversight
    • Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline aligned to order intake targets
    • Contribute to revenue forecasting and long-term growth planning
  • Client & Stakeholder Leadership
    • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships across National Security clients
    • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to deliver cohesive account strategies
    • Actively manage risks and opportunities impacting campaigns and portfolio performance
    • Represent the organisation as a senior leader within the client environment
  • Campaign & Product Leadership
    • Direct campaign activity including events, marketing investment, thought leadership and innovation funding
    • Sponsor product development initiatives aligned to strategic priorities
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and Technical Leads to ensure solutions meet evolving customer needs
  • Financial & Performance Accountability
    • Drive revenue and margin performance aligned to budget and business unit strategy
    • Build and sustain a strong order book
    • Support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Sales function

About You

You are commercially astute, technically curious, and motivated by solving complex challenges in high-stakes environments.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in senior business development or growth leadership within National Security, Defence, or Public Sector
  • Strong track record of leading successful business winning activity and complex bids
  • Experience managing pipelines, forecasts and order intake targets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement at senior levels
  • Strong leadership capability across cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of National Security and Public Sector priorities and procurement environments

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with structured business winning methodologies and governance processes
  • Knowledge of commercial and contracting frameworks within government
  • Exposure to Cloud and/or AI-enabled solutions
  • Experience shaping new products, services or IP

Security Clearance - You will ideally hold an active eDV clearance. We can also consider applicants who have previously held eDV level clearance that has now lapsed.
