Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to drive the design and implementation of innovative digital services within the UK public sector. This role focuses on leveraging modern open-source technologies within Agile and DevOps environments to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with senior stakeholders across organisations to identify and promote opportunities for digital transformation
- Develop strong client relationships to uncover new business opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to multiple delivery teams, applying best practices and emerging technologies
- Mentor and inspire other architects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
- Take ownership of governance processes, addressing complex or high-risk challenges and producing robust architectural designs
- Work across a range of projects and clients simultaneously
- Present solution options clearly to senior stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making
- Collaborate with internal teams to share expertise and continuously improve ways of working
Technical Expertise:
You should have strong commercial experience across several of the following areas:
- Solution and technical architecture design
- Open-source technologies
- Cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Security principles and best practices
- Identity and access management (e.g. OAuth, Cognito, OIDC)
- Containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- DevOps / DevSecOps practices and tooling
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python
