We are looking for a skilled and motivated Dispensing Optician or Experienced Dispensing Assistant to join Parkhurst & Co. This role offers variety, working across several of our practices and supporting patients with expert dispensing, eyewear styling and outstanding customer care.
Locations: Doncaster, Mexborough, Bentley, Thorne and Goldthorpe
Hours: Full‐time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in different environments and delivering exceptional patient experiences. You will provide accurate dispensing, styling advice, adjustments, repairs and ongoing support across all practices. You will work closely with our optometrists and wider team to ensure a smooth flow of patients and consistent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, confident dispensing for a wide range of prescriptions
- Provide eyewear styling advice based on face shape, lifestyle and budget
- Assist with frame selection, fitting, adjustments and repairs
- Interpret prescriptions and advise on premium lens options including Seiko, Tokai and Zeiss
- Support day‐to‐day practice operations as needed
- Maintain strong product knowledge and clear communication with patients
- Provide consistent, professional service across all locations
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Dispensing Optician (GOC registered) or experienced Dispensing Assistant
- Excellent dispensing and communication skills
- Passion for eyewear styling and customer service
- Ability to work confidently across multiple practices
- Professional, organised and patient‐focused
- Strong team player
