Patrol Officer – Parkguard Ltd
Various contracts across North, East, South & West London and Hertfordshire
£15+ per hour | Full-time, from 45 hrs/week
Parkguard Ltd is a leading service provider to Local Authorities and Police. We're recruiting Patrol Officers to carry out uniformed street patrols across parks, estates and night-time economy areas — preventing crime, tackling anti-social behaviour, and keeping communities safe.
What you'll do
- Assist and support the public on behalf of the Local Authority with regard to safety and welfare
- Gather information and intelligence for directed action against offenders, sharing information and facilitating cross-border liaison
- Detect, disrupt and deter offenders, taking appropriate enforcement action where required
- Process persons for relevant offences, ensuring all matters are handled promptly and efficiently in line with service and legal requirements
- Provide education and awareness-based patrols to manage ASB, prevent crime and tackle nuisance across the borough/area
- Target hotspot locations identified by the public and Police, prioritising low-level and quality-of-life issues
- Work in partnership with Police, Intelligence Units, Crime Reduction and Community Safety Partnerships
- Help reduce the fear of crime and improve public reassurance through committed liaison and attendance at Council, Police and public meetings
What you'll need
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence
- Full driving licence and own transport
- Willingness to work unsocial hours (mostly 11:30pm–2:30am)
- Physical fitness and confidence handling difficult situations
- Backgrounds in Police, Military, SIA Security, Bailiff or Enforcement work welcome

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All successful candidates will undergo full Police vetting.
