Due to the promotion of our current School Business Manager, Parkfield Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional and highly motivated School Business Manager (Level 1) to join our leadership team.

About the Role

As School Business Manager, you will play a key strategic and operational role, working closely with the Headteacher and Governing Board to ensure the effective leadership of:

  • Finance and budget management
  • Human resources and staff management
  • Health & safety and risk management
  • Estate and facilities management
  • Administrative systems and school operations

You will lead and manage support staff, oversee the school’s financial processes, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and drive efficiency across all non-teaching functions of the school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, varied and high-impact role, and who is ready to contribute at both a strategic and operational level in our wonderful school.

  • Has experience in financial management and budget monitoring
  • Demonstrates knowledge of HR processes, compliance and staff management
  • Has experience of health & safety, risk assessment and estate management
  • Is highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused
  • Can work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Is an excellent communicator, able to work with staff, governors, parents and external agencies
  • Has the confidence and expertise to be part of a senior leadership team
