You know how to get people’s attention. Can you turn it into a stronger connection with a brand? Parker Young is partnering with an established British FMCG business with a portfolio of specialist consumer brands to appoint a Social Media Manager. There’s significant potential to develop how this business uses social, and you’ll take ownership of what comes next. From setting the strategy to creating content and building conversations, you’ll shape how its brands connect with their audiences every day.
For someone who combines creative ambition with practical delivery, this is an opportunity to give social a stronger voice within the wider marketing mix.
The opportunity
You’ll own the direction and day-to-day performance of the social channels, building a clear strategy that supports brand awareness, consideration and meaningful engagement. Working closely with Brand Managers, you’ll turn that strategy into campaigns, content and a calendar with purpose. You’ll create and oversee content tailored to each platform, bringing fresh ideas while keeping each brand’s voice distinctive and consistent. You’ll also work alongside the paid social agency to ensure organic content and paid activity support each other, making more of the creative and opportunities available. Community will be an important part of your remit. You’ll build relationships through thoughtful, timely engagement and use what you learn from audiences to inform future activity. Alongside the creative work, you’ll set clear measures of success, explain what’s working and use those insights to test, adapt and improve.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience owning social channels for a brand or organisation, combining strategic responsibility with hands-on delivery. We’d love to hear about your experience of:
- Developing social strategies and campaigns with clear objectives.
- Creating compelling content that reflects how people use different platforms.
- Building engaged communities and a consistent brand voice.
- Using performance data to improve content and demonstrate impact.
- Working with colleagues and agency partners to bring ideas to life.
You’ll be a confident storyteller with sound creative judgement and the organisation to keep day-to-day activity moving. Curious about new approaches, you’ll know how to judge which trends deserve attention and which fit the brand.
Why consider it?
This role offers ownership, creative scope and the chance to become the business’s go-to voice on social. You’ll help shape a channel with considerable potential, with room to influence both the work itself and how its contribution is understood across the business. If you’re ready to bring your ideas, judgement and energy to a broader social remit, there’s plenty here to explore.
