We work with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools that are looking to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants and Experienced Teaching Assistants across a range of subjects and year groups. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, support students in their learning, and develop your skills within education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and students both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Assisting students with additional learning needs.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement.
- Supporting pupils with coursework and lesson activities.
- Encouraging student confidence, progress, and participation.
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff.
We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from both graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants who are passionate about education. You should have:
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in working with young people
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous school experience (preferred but not essential for graduates)
Graduates with degrees in subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Psychology, Sports, Humanities, or Creative Arts are encouraged to apply.
