We are looking for an experienced and highly mobile Plumber with a valid Unvented Hot Water qualification to join a busy social housing maintenance team covering North London and the surrounding areas.
Working across both responsive repairs and void properties, you will carry out a wide range of plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a field-based role requiring travel between multiple properties each day, so flexibility and excellent time management are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out reactive plumbing repairs within occupied social housing properties.
- Complete plumbing installations and refurbishment works within void properties.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, burst pipes, faulty taps, toilets, showers, baths, sinks, and waste systems.
- Install, service, and repair unvented hot water cylinders in accordance with current regulations.
- Carry out repairs and replacements to hot and cold water systems.
- Trace and resolve plumbing faults quickly and effectively, ensuring first-time fixes wherever possible.
- Complete bathroom repairs and replacements, including sanitaryware and associated pipework.
- Work alongside other trades where required to complete multi-trade maintenance works.
- Maintain accurate job records using PDA/mobile devices.
- Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied homes.
- Ensure all work complies with current Water Regulations, health and safety legislation, and company standards.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and materials in a safe and organised manner.
- Proven experience working as a maintenance plumber within social housing, local authority, or domestic maintenance environments.
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification (G3).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working on both responsive repairs and void refurbishment contracts.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy daily workload.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
- Experience using PDA or mobile job management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own tools (if applicable).
- DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- Multi-trade experience, including basic carpentry, tiling, or patch plastering.
- Water Regulations qualification.
- Asbestos Awareness certificate.
