We are looking for an experienced Floorlayer to join our team on a 12-week temporary contract, working across social housing and domestic properties on behalf of a subcontractor delivering works for Housing Association contracts.

The successful candidate will carry out high-quality flooring installations and repairs within occupied and void properties, including wet room flooring systems such as Polyflor Polysafe, while maintaining excellent customer service standards. There is the potential for the contract to be extended based on workload and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of vinyl, safety flooring, cap and cove, and wet room flooring systems including Polysafe
  • Preparation of subfloors including latex screeding and smoothing compounds
  • Carrying out flooring repairs and replacements in kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, and communal areas
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting flooring materials to a high standard
  • Working in occupied and void social housing and domestic properties
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with Health & Safety regulations
  • Liaising professionally with tenants, supervisors, and contract managers
  • Maintaining clean and tidy work areas at all times
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Floorlayer
  • Experience fitting wet room and safety flooring systems including Polysafe
  • Experience working within social housing or Housing Association contracts preferred
  • Ability to work independently and complete jobs to a high standard
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own tools required
  • CSCS card preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
