Temporary Painter & Decorator - University Accommodation & Campus Maintenance (Summer Contract)

We are looking for reliable and experienced Painter & Decorators to join our team for a busy summer maintenance programme across university accommodation and campus buildings throughout the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled decorators who take pride in delivering high-quality work within occupied and vacant student accommodation, academic buildings and communal areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.
- Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding and making minor repairs.
- Paint student bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, stairwells and communal areas.
- Complete planned and reactive decorating works within university accommodation and campus buildings.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within programme deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Report any defects or maintenance issues identified during works to the Site Supervisor.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Valid CSCS Card (essential).
- IPAF.
- Own vehicle with the ability to travel to sites across the North West.
- Own decorating tools suitable for carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating work.
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience working within student accommodation, hotels, healthcare, commercial properties or residential refurbishments.
- Experience working on planned summer maintenance programmes.
- Full UK driving licence.
