Temporary Painter & Decorator - University Accommodation & Campus Maintenance (Summer Contract)

Location: North West England

Job Type: Temporary / Full-Time

Duration: Summer Contract (Immediate Start - September)

Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

We are looking for reliable and experienced Painter & Decorators to join our team for a busy summer maintenance programme across university accommodation and campus buildings throughout the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled decorators who take pride in delivering high-quality work within occupied and vacant student accommodation, academic buildings and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.
  • Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding and making minor repairs.
  • Paint student bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, stairwells and communal areas.
  • Complete planned and reactive decorating works within university accommodation and campus buildings.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within programme deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment.
  • Follow all site health and safety procedures.
  • Report any defects or maintenance issues identified during works to the Site Supervisor.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
  • Valid CSCS Card (essential).
  • IPAF.
  • Own vehicle with the ability to travel to sites across the North West.
  • Own decorating tools suitable for carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating work.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
  • Experience working within student accommodation, hotels, healthcare, commercial properties or residential refurbishments.
  • Experience working on planned summer maintenance programmes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
