We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding to support the refurbishment, maintenance and upgrade of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification and calibration of mechanical equipment.
  • Fault-finding and repairs through to component level.
  • Working from engineering documentation, ASI and OEM data.
  • Surveying equipment and recommending repairs, refurbishment and modifications.
  • Supporting reverse engineering and development of test procedures.
  • Providing technical advice and supervising junior staff/apprentices.
  • Working within engineering governance, safety and quality standards.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding experience.
  • Ideally from a Defence, aerospace, GSE or heavy engineering background.
  • Level 3/4 engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship/advanced or higher apprenticeship.
  • Eligible for Eng Tech registration under UK-SPEC.
  • Experience with testing, diagnostics, calibration and maintenance of mechanical equipment
