We're looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join a growing Building Management Systems team based in Tunbridge Wells.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial awareness, supporting the sales team by producing high-quality quotations and helping secure exciting BMS projects.
The Role
- Preparing accurate BMS estimates and quotations from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Producing detailed proposals covering hardware, software, labour, commissioning and installation.
- Carrying out site surveys where required.
- Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.
- Following up quotations and maintaining strong relationships with customers and consultants.
- Negotiating contracts and supporting successful project handovers to delivery teams.
- Keeping up to date with BMS technology, products and market trends.
- Maintaining accurate records within CRM and company systems.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Experience within the Building Management Systems (BMS), Controls, HVAC or Building Services industry.
- Experience producing quotations, tenders or estimates for technical projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good IT skills and commercial awareness.
Desirable
- Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Delta or Distech.
- Experience carrying out site surveys.
