Transport and Logistics Coordinator required for a Civil's / Construction contractor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Plant Manager in the delivery of all daily transport planning and plant operations, ensuring the efficient, safe and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment and personnel across sites.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Executing efficient planning of transportation modes and available inventory to meet project demands, ensuring schedules are optimised to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
- Handling all daily transport queries, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations is maintained in all transport activities.
- Coordinating bookings for: Vac Ex, Van MOT’s, windscreen repairs/replacements, tyre services for vehicles and plant.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to secure reliable and timely services.
- Supporting project managers by aligning logistics strategies with project timelines and budgets.
- Tracking of non-mechanical vehicles.
- Handling all speeding and parking fines.
- Related administration for new vehicles.
- Supporting the hire desk with on and off hires where required.
