We are seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a mobile role, carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems, primarily working with ammonia (NH3) and CO2 systems across customer sites.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who enjoys field-based work, problem-solving, and working on technically challenging industrial plant.
Engineers with strong industrial refrigeration experience who do not yet hold ammonia certification are encouraged to apply – the company is happy to support and fund ammonia training for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
- Work on ammonia and CO2 refrigeration plant
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Participate in the call-out rota (1 in 6)
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service on-site
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Typically 08:00 – 16:30
- Some flexibility required depending on site and workload
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Proven experience in industrial refrigeration
- Strong working knowledge of ammonia and CO2 systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
