Design Manager required in Hampshire, Hybrid following probation.

  • Experience: 5+ years in cladding specifically, but ideal candidate would have fire remediation experience.
  • Skillset: Technical knowledge; in depth understanding of fire safety regulations, cladding systems, and materials used in envelope cladding, project management skills; overseeing design stages, coordinating with architects, fire engineers and other stakeholders, ensuring projects meet critical deadlines.
  • Compliance: Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations, problem solving skills during planning and on site activities.
  • Technical tools and software: Being able to draw with Auto-Cad or similar to enable management of others.
  • Communication skills: Effectively communicating with design houses, consultants and the like.
  • Financial awareness: Budget management, cost estimation and value engineering.
  • Time management: Managing your own timelines and those of others.
  • Leadership skills: Leading a design team and mentoring others.

Salary band: 65-85k (would pay more for fire remediation experience).

Location: Hybrid role between office, home and site (we will not consider candidates commuting more than 2 hours).
