We are currently working with a specialist refrigeration and air conditioning contractor delivering projects across the UK within supermarket, retail and commercial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support both AC and refrigeration installation works across a range of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is confident carrying out AC installations but also has previous refrigeration installation experience to support the wider team during quieter AC periods.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installing air conditioning systems across commercial and retail environments
  • Carrying out installation works on split, multi split and VRV/VRF systems
  • Supporting refrigeration installation teams on supermarket and retail projects when required
  • Assisting with refrigeration pipework installations and associated mechanical works
  • Pressure testing systems prior to commissioning
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation schematics
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship across live site environments
  • Communicating professionally with clients, site teams and subcontractors
Tickets / Qualifications
  • Valid F-Gas Certification essential
  • SSSTS preferred
  • Full UK Driving Licence
About You

Key capabilities required for this role include:

  • Previous experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer within commercial environments
  • Experience carrying out refrigeration installation works is essential
  • Ability to support supermarket refrigeration projects when required
  • Strong understanding of AC installation methods and refrigeration pipework systems
  • Ability to carry out pressure testing independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and professional approach to work
  • Commitment to health & safety and quality workmanship
Experience Required
  • Proven background within air conditioning installation
  • Experience working on refrigeration installs within supermarket or retail environments
  • Comfortable working across both AC and refrigeration projects
  • Ability to work from drawings and installation specifications
  • Experience working within fast paced live site environments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team
