We are working with an established and respected organisation delivering large-scale infrastructure and construction projects across the UK. We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on large-scale projects. You will take ownership of subcontract packages, manage valuations and variations, assist with procurement and tendering, and contribute to cost reporting. This is a hands-on role offering the chance to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while working closely with experienced professionals.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparing scope of works and trade packages
  • Preparing selected tender list for approval
  • Recommendation of subcontractors on “Level Playing Field” ensuring complete scope of works is covered and all qualifications addressed
  • Holding and taking minutes of Subcontract Post Tender and Pre-Order Meetings
  • Preparing subcontract documentation for signing by both parties in accordance with Call Off Contract procedure
  • Forecasting value of design variations
  • Agreeing variations with subcontractor
  • Producing subcontractor instruction/variation reports
  • Agreeing final account with subcontractors
