Are you an engineer with an interest in thermal design, heat exchangers, and solving real customer challenges? Join Parker and help design efficient, cost-effective heat-exchanger solutions for demanding industrial applications.

As a Thermal Design Engineer, you’ll work as part of a collaborative engineering team, turning customer specifications into high-quality designs and quotations. You’ll gain exposure to cross-functional projects, technical customer discussions, simulation work, and continuous-improvement practices—while developing your expertise alongside experienced engineers.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse customer data and specifications to produce heat-exchanger designs and quotations with minimum supervision.
  • Create accurate project and job documentation to support a smooth handover to manufacturing.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, sales, service, and engineering colleagues to provide technical support.
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal teams and external customers.
  • Perform simulations on existing designs to support service and product requirements.
  • Apply Parker’s lean systems and tools to reduce waste, improve flow, and support on-time delivery.
  • Deliver customer-focused, practical engineering solutions that meet quality, cost, and performance requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree—or equivalent experience—in an engineering-related discipline; a Master’s degree is desirable.
  • 2+ years of experience in a process or manufacturing environment, ideally involving heat exchangers or plant configuration.
  • A good foundation in thermal design and basic mechanical-design knowledge.
  • Experience or interest in FEED and EPC project environments is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset, customer focus, and commitment to following effective processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based tools.

What makes you successful

You take ownership of your work, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and stay focused on customer needs. You’re motivated to deliver results, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute ideas that improve how we work.

Why Parker?
