Role Summary
In this position you will support the Segmental Controller with achieving the Annual Operating Plan, whilst ensuring the maximisation of the company’s financial performance. You’ll support the execution of the strategic plan and manage financial reporting, budgets, internal processes and advise management in the interpreting and utilising of managerial account information. This position is a Fixed-Term Contract for a period of 12 months.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide financial analysis
- Manage all accounting operations, while monitoring costs and capital expenditures by working with relevant FSSC teams
- Supporting preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances
- Preparing reports which summarise business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earning based on past, present and future operations
- Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls (including SOX compliance)
- Lead internal and external audit interactions
- Ensure timely and complete financial statement and oversee the submissions to Division and Group
- Support Continuous Improvement in the team and across the division
- Support in-going integration activities with the legacy Parker SSO Finance Team
Who We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in role
- Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and analysis; acquired through work experience in increasingly complex roles
- Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results
- Demonstrable knowledge of SOX
- Working experience of SAP
- Able to utilize the latest technology to enhance the growth of an organization
- Ability to anticipate internal or external business challenges/regulatory issues and make recommendations
- Capable of directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems, while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment
- Demonstrates a high level of ethical behaviour in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity
