The Role:
We are looking for a General Assembly Operator to manufacture and test aerospace components and assemblies to the highest quality standards. Working within a safety-critical environment, you will carry out precision assembly and welding operations, interpret engineering drawings and contribute to continuous improvement activities while ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities of the role:

Perform precision assembly and manufacturing operations in line with engineering drawings and build specifications.

Carry out TIG or rotary welding activities on small, intricate aerospace components.

Conduct testing, measurement and inspection activities to ensure product quality and compliance.

Set up and use assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment safely and effectively.

Support continuous improvement, housekeeping and lean manufacturing initiatives across the production area.
Skills required:

Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience carrying out intricate TIG or rotary welding on small or precision components.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.

Strong attention to detail with a clear understanding of quality standards in a safety-critical environment.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; aerospace or NADCAP-regulated experience would be advantageous.
