Role Summary
We’re looking for a hands‑on Production Operator to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team supporting the production of gas turbine components used in aircraft. This isn’t a typical assembly role. You’ll be working at the front end of the manufacturing process, cutting and preparing critical components to exact specifications, playing a key role in ensuring quality from the very start. If you enjoy working with machines, using measuring tools, and taking pride in accuracy and high‑quality work, this role will suit you.
Responsibilities
- Cutting materials and components to precise sizes and dimensions
- Operating workshop machinery such as chop saws, guillotines, and hand presses
- Preparing parts coming from previous production stages for further processing
- Measuring components using vernier callipers and gauges
- Checking your own work to ensure it meets tight tolerances and quality standards
- Using a mix of machine operation and hands‑on manual work (approx. 50/50 split)
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or workshop environment
- Hands‑on experience with cutting, fabrication, or machine operation
- Ability to use measuring tools (vernier callipers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise dimensions
- Comfortable taking responsibility for checking and inspecting your own work
