MRO Electronics Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Coventry, Ansty Park

Hours: 37.5 hours / Permanent Day shift

The Role

Are you an experienced electronics technician who enjoys fault‑finding down to component level and bringing complex systems back to life? We’re hiring for an MRO Electronics Technician to join a specialist aerospace team focused on the repair and overhaul of electronic braking system components. This role is heavily electronics‑focused, with the opportunity to broaden into electro‑mechanical work over time.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Your work will focus on diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic units, often working on legacy systems where strong fundamentals and hands‑on experience really matter.
  • Fault‑finding to component level
  • Repairing and replacing electronic components (including soldering)
  • Disassembling and rebuilding assemblies
  • Testing and validating units using equipment such as oscilloscopes
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
  • Identifying and pinpointing component failures
  • Completing documentation and maintaining traceability

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For – Essential

  • Strong electronics repair experience (MRO, manufacturing, or similar)
  • Proven fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Confident with soldering at component level
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
  • Hands‑on experience with tools and test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes)
  • Background in electronics (education or hands‑on experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, rail, or other safety‑critical industries
