This is an opportunity to join a busy manufacturing team producing carbon brake discs for the aerospace sector. The role involves working in a fast‑paced machine shop environment with a strong focus on quality, output, and teamwork. An experienced CNC Setter/Operator who is comfortable working in a high‑volume environment and is open to developing additional skills, such as TIG welding, this role would suit you!
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC and conventional machines
- Working across:
- Conventional 1‑spindle turning machines (CNC controlled)
- 3‑axis CNC milling machines
- 4‑axis CNC milling machines
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a machine shop environment
- 2–3 years’ experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (aerospace preferred but not essential)
- Experience with setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standards
- Confident using inspection and measuring equipment
