Ansty Park is a state‑of‑the‑art facility, and this opportunity is working as part of the core engineering Team, representing electrical engineering. In this role you will be working in the Braking Systems division of the Aerospace Group – working on key programs; collaborating with other areas of the business to design, sustain technically sound and marketable products using imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions.
Responsibilities
- You’ll act as a lead, providing significant expertise in designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving, whilst directly impacting all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing.
- Visits to local suppliers.
- Support Electronics Manufacturing & Test.
- Responsible for the life cycle of a number of platforms in a sustaining role and continuous improvement environment.
- Applies knowledge and experience to develop/enhance designs, processes, and tools.
- Creates strong network with other senior professionals internally and externally.
- Has latitude in technical decisions and approaches, but seeks out specialist guidance for complex issues.
- Expected to create internal/external presentations of professional quality.
- Prepares clear, technically accurate and documented design explanation presentations to customers.
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Electronics, Manufacturing Test, PCB Layouts and IPC standards.
- Extensive circuit analysis, testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Experienced and proficient at working in a cross‑functional organisation.
- Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of electronics.
- Knowledge of Aerospace Electronics, Manufacturing Test and Component Obsolescence.
- Demonstrable domain knowledge with high level understanding of design processes and procedures with ability to train others.
- Excellent communication skills; communicating in a positive, calm and professional manner at all times.
- Understanding of commercially sensitive information, including how, when, and with whom to share.
- Possesses a curious mindset.
Desirable
- Knowledge of: Altium, Jira, DOORS, Matlab, LABVIEW, LTSpice, pSPICE, MS Office 365.
