We are seeking a skilled and flexible Press Operator to support Tube Extrusion manufacturing operations at our Coventry facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of machinery, carrying out quality checks, and accurately recording production data while working to written instructions and established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and work flexibly across multiple machines, including:
- Press Dimple
- Bending
- Frazing
- Cropping
- Cutting
- Straightener
- Extrusion Press
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work across multiple manufacturing or press-based machines (ideally in Tube Extrusion or metal forming)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-inspect work using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., gauges, calipers)
- Basic numeracy skills, including the ability to add and subtract whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
- Ability to read and understand simple written instructions and production documentation
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently when required
